Oil Well PIPES Strengths Table 3.1

This application offers a straightforward interface for analyzing key properties of Oil Well Pipes, including Drilling, Casing, and Tubing options. It provides detailed data on parameters such as Burst strength, Collapse pressure, Yield Strength, Capacity, Thickness, Inside Diameter, and Transversal Area.

The main menu allows users to select the specific type of pipe—Casing, Tubing, or Drilling—which then guides them through choosing the Outside Diameter and corresponding weight categories. Upon selection, the app displays relevant technical properties associated with the chosen pipe configuration.

Users can refine their analysis by selecting the material grade and wear condition. The available wear conditions are categorized as New, Premium, and CX, with respective reduction factors applied to account for deterioration: 87.5% for New, 80% for Premium, and a range of 60-80% for CX. When CX wear condition is selected, a slider appears to specify the level of wear.

It should be noted that the worn condition feature is applicable exclusively to Tubing and Drilling Pipes.

The app additionally permits unit customization for each property type. Users can choose units such as psi, kgf/cm2, or kPa for Burst and Collapse; lbf-ft or N-m for Torque and Torsion; lbf, kgf, or N for Yield Strength; various volume measures for Capacity and Displacement; inches, millimeters, or centimeters for Thickness, Inside Diameter, and Drift; and in² or cm² for Transversal Area. To change units, simply tap on the row associated with the property.

For evaluating inverse capacity data, users can slide the respective row to the left to view an inverted measurement using the currently selected unit.
